404.7 Thumbing Compound

Description

404 Thumbing Compound is a general-purpose product used to seal against water, dust and air. It can also be used as a noise and sound deadener. 404 is used in the assembly or repair of automobiles, trailers, refrigerator cabinets, HVAC, railroad cars, pre-fabricated buildings and numerous other uses. It can be used wherever a non-staining, non-hardening, non-drying sealer is required.

404 Thumbing Compound has good adhesion to commercially clean surfaces and does not affect plastic, rubber or paint. It can be painted without softening or discoloring paint and will withstand normal baking cycles. It is insoluble in water but soluble in hydrocarbon solvents. 404 is available in extruded bead, tape or slug form.
