caulk

269.12 Pumpable Butyl Sealant

Description

269 is a high quality, butyl-based caulking compound which air dries to form a permanently flexible, weather resistant seal. It has excellent adhesion to unprimed and painted metals, masonry, concrete, wood, aluminum, galvanized steel, glass and cold rolled steel. It is designed to seal metal and wood windows and doors, overlap seams and narrow joints. 269 should be considered for operations where flexibility is needed but where total joint movement is limited.

Application

269 is designed to be applied using automatic dispensing systems (Graco 40:1 Bull Dog Pump or equivalent) or manual caulking guns. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of any loose particles. The caulk has excellent “cut-off” characteristics and is not stringy at the nozzle.
