406.12 General Purpose Sealant

Description

406.12 is a general purpose, thumb grade sealant suitable for use as a water, dust and air sealant and sound deadener. Used in the assembly of automobiles, trailers, refrigerator cabinets, railroad cars or prefabricated buildings, it also has numerous other uses. 406.12 is a non-staining, non-hardening, non-drying sealer that does not affect plastic, rubber or paint. Adhesion is good to commercially clean surfaces. It can be painted and will withstand normal bake cycles. It is insoluble in water but soluble in hydrocarbon solvents. 406.12 is available in rolled beads, tapes or flat pack pieces.
